Twin scroll(expensive option)
Ps, im not to clued on the twinscroll application.

Im now in the process of putting together a TD04 kit for my car, this thread has set my mind too it now. Before i was in too minds weather to just power up the ct9. But for how i drive the td04 is what im looking for. I was looking for around 190bhp or around 200bhp/ton.
WEPR exgate mani and down pipe, hdi fmic, tdo4l 16g, relocated airfilter, straight through exhaust, greddy emb mapped at 1bar and all the other supporting mods, that would be enough too see a huge diffenence on the ct9. A great B road blast about
But i suppose where you live and what the roads are like will reflect on your driving style, in turn how your car responds and put its power down

for information i have compared the td04 L19 v td04L15, the 15 is very better than the 19T , it spools better and has only 600rpm in lag . TDO4L19 is laggy as a VF28

ramses974 buddy, are you talking about TD04L 19T and TD04L 15T or TD04L 15G or TD04L 15C?

2 years on and I still haven't really made any progress, though the old cracked manifold has been swapped and a WEPR CT9 power up kit sits in it's place.

I've been debating whether to use an adapter plate and fit a Forester TF035, however there are a few things I'd like to be clear on before spending some time fabricating a downpipe and plumbing one in.

Does the TF035 use the same CHRA as the TD04? Would there be any issues getting one rebuilt?

What's the maximum reliable boost pressure a TF035 can maintain?

What sort of peak HP figure should be expected from a 4E and TF035 at 1bar?

Does anyone have a compressor map for the Forester TF035?

Texx there is a wealth of info on austarletclub.com, the majority of what I've read on the net regarding TF035 on the 4E comes from there.

They would be the ones to ask about more technical aspects.

Hope this helps.

The main temptation of the TF035 is that I can get hold of one for a good price and the place is only minutes down the road from me.

Looking at the size of the thing I'm guessing it would be an improvement over a hybrid CT9 yet not as lazy as a TD04?

I've had a Google search of austarletclub.com, though the posts don't seem to appear all together on the same page. I'll maybe register an account and have a better look later on when I've got less distractions.

Then there would never be a better time to acquire one and discover for yourself once you have the time to sort an adapter plate for it and get it fuel checked/mapped :)

TF035 is very awsome , maximum boost is 1.2bar .I tested it on my 5e , a litle bit restrictive in high rpm , but torque is present a low rpm.I do not need to change gear on moutain road .
In my opinion, very good for a 4e and a litle restrictive for a 5e ,but iam talking for daily driving use and very very cheap in front of ct9 hybrids.
For a daily driving and good response on a 5e i prefer the td04l13

Im running a hybrid ct9 at low boost (0.9 bar and dyno'd at 198bhp at the fly) and it maintains boost well in all gears with no lag. On standard ecu as well. Im goin to get more power just with uprated fuel pump and injectors and stand alone ecu. I cant comment on td04 as not driven one but my setup is fine for what youre after
