Ok u need to get ur self 4 coils form a 1zzge or a 2zzge with the conectors and a standalone ecu with 4 coil out puts u can pick these coils up for next to nothing guys , these coils will fit great all u need to do is get some studs welded on to ur rocker cover , here is the wiring info ad dwel times for the coils , that should be all u need guys there smart coils with the igniter built in too

and fitted with an Ultimate??
some pple said that the coils can be replace on an MR2 , but the techs are not very clear as there are not pics to show and explain

I've not tried it, but it may work. AFAIK the EMU gives the option to set an ignition channel for each cylinder, so you'd need to wire the IGT terminal of each coil to one of terminals 8, 9, 11 and 12 of the EMU 12pin connector, then set the Output CH to 4 in the IGN tab of the parameter settings.

You'd also have to join the IGF signal terminals of each coil together and wire them back to the IGF input terminal of the stock ECU, otherwise the stock ECU would cut fuel and stop the engine.

i didnt have any luck with my emanaage and cop setup, i could get them to fire but timming seemed to be an issue. going stand alone now anyway.
