any one on here that is good with diodes
i need someone that can builed me a simple module so that i can control the tacho signal from my autronic ecu to an apexi tacho
will post some diagrams later

It's a simple enough circuit to build, but I'm not so sure it's a wise idea to ground the coils through a 1K resistor.

That makes more sense, the first circuit diagram is just for driving the tacho. That would probably work OK.

Is there a suggested rating for the 1K resistor? I'm guessing a 1/4W would do the job?

sorry not a fun of diodes but on the other diagram they say 100x10 1kohm resistor
so can you builed me one
cash waiting

100x10 just means 1K, by doing the math a 1K resistor passing 12v would only need a power rating of 0.015W so a 1K 1/4W (0.25W) resistor should be fine.

You could easily buy all the components required for probably less than a £1 and it would be simple enough for you to put it together yourself.

Shopping list:

1 * 15V Zener diode,BZX85C15 1.3W - click
2 * Rectifier diode, 1N4004 R0 - click
1 * Anti-Surge Resistor, 0805, 0.25W,1%,1K - click

The only problem is you'll probably need to buy them in bulk unless you have a local electronics store that can supply you.
