Do you need planning permission - Ireland

Hi,

I am getting different information on this depending on who I talk to.

If you erect a metal pre fabricated building for a garage/workshop and put it over a concrete poured base, do you need planning permission?

Some of the suppliers are saying you do and some are saying you dont. Anybody any experience of this?

Not sure if it's the same as here mate but Ye you do need planning here, we put a building up the same as what you want to do 3 years ago without planning and we have about 6weeks before we have to take the whole lot down, we got away with it for 2years and then you get a nosey jealous bastard who tells your local council. Your local council may allow you to have one though, good luck with it

Thats a pain mitchracer. I know in Ireland if you get away with it for 7 years they cant make you take it down.

I think mine would be over 25 sq metres so probably does need it... shit...
