Emanage Software Drivers

Hi guys,

Does anyone happen to have or know where I can get the software drivers from for the Greddy emanage?
I downloaded the software from their website, but they don't include the drivers needed to connect my pc (old skool windows 7 laptop) to the ecu via usb.

Thanks

USB should normally install/include it's own drivers. So my guess would be they aren't needed and the software should be able to find the emanage.

Greddy does state this(while it is unlikely that this is a issue due to backwards compatibility some 32bit driver do only work on 32bit installations. This would require the installation of a 32 bit windows 7 to fix):
It does not work on 64-bit Windows. Please use it on the 32-bit version of Windows.

Greddy's description:
[Cause 2] The driver is not set up correctly.

(※Confirmation method)

Control Panel → System → Device Manager → USB Controller

If there is a yellow "!" Or "?" Mark on the, the installation has not been completed successfully.

[Countermeasure 2-1]
1. Right-click on the item and select Properties

2. Delete

3. Replug the USB

4-1. When "New hardware found" is displayed after reinserting

Select "Manually search for drivers"

Select the following as the selection destination and click OK.

Computer → Local Disk (C) → Program Files (x86) → TRUST → GReddy e-manage Ultimate → driver

4-2. When the "!" Mark is displayed immediately after reinserting

The PC has selected and applied a driver that is not for e-manage (e-manage Ultimate).

Computer-> Local Disk (C)-> Program Files (x86)-> TRUST-> GReddy e-manage Ultimate-> driver-> PreInstaller

Select to install the driver package.

* How to change the behavior related to PC driver installation

Search for and run "Change device installation settings".

Change device installation settings → No Select the execution method → Do not install the driver software from Windows Update → Save the changes

After that, execute [Action 2-1] 4-1.

Thanks a lot for this. Much appreciated. I am using a 32 bit windows 7 ultimate, with the latest software off the Greddy website. When I plugged the ecu in to my laptop it said installing drivers then failed.
Someone suggested downloading a virtual machine and trying windows xp instead as it seems to work better?

Update I have no drivers installed.

Are you sure the emanage did work before you got it? The emanage should be in the list even under other windows version.

I'm not sure. The seller claims it was 100% working and currently has a map on it for a forged td04 starlet. So I wanted to connect it to the software and set everything back to zero to see if the car would start then. I am just trying my best to rule out all possibilities to get it to work, before I request a refund .

i'm not much into computers, but i use an old Dell laptop with windows XP 32 bit to connect to emu via the usb port. I bought it specifically for this purpose and to make my life easy.

a while back i tried using a newer laptop with windows 8 (if i remember correctly at that time) and creating a partition based on some advice (again i'm not IT minded),,,i installed windows XP on the partition and then installed the emanage software....everything seemed good, but whenever i tried to connect to the emanage unit i got issues with the usb driver...there was no communication between the laptop and the emanage. Someone posted a tread recently on how to possibly rectify this.

Hail gorganl2000,

Thanks for the info. I have managed to find another old laptop running an earlier version of windows 7. So hopefully I can install xpmode on it and get it working.

It seems like the emanage does try to transfer the needed data to windows and it is recognized as a usb device. Maybe XP will work better . If you know someone with an emanage you can always try it on his system, this would rule out a few possibilities.

Edit (found this in the manual):

Check both Program Files and the Program Files (86x). You probably only have Program Files since you have a 32 bit OS.

Thanks for the info guys I will have a read.
I went into the loft and found an old dell laptop I had back in college, running Windows Vista! Fired up first time :).
I installed the latest software, pluged the ecu in, installed the drivers as advised above, but then got this error... Picture attached

now i'm going on some old memories here,
but i've been running emu since 2007/2008 i think and i've only used the old disc to install the software on thw two laptops i've had over the years.
i've never updated to any newer version of emu as i've read there were possible glitches with some of the updates---i'm not much into hear say and i can't prove this one way or the other

so my suggestion, could you install an older version of the emu software and give it a try?

I've read about a few revisions existing of the greddy ultimate. Older version may not work with the "newest" Version of emanage software.

The error seems to be very generic and doesn't say much about any underlying problems to my knowledge. Is the emange now listed in the device Manager (Control Panel → System → Device Manager → USB Controller )?

Do you happen to have an older version of the software? I have had a search online, but can't seem to find one anywhere.
