emanage ultimate users: reading ignition timming

I get funny readings and was wondering if anyone's else has thisproblem.

FirstlyI'm using ignition signal to read rpm, using crank signal makes no odds. But my trimming signal can read what seems normal at around 35 degrees Then it can randomly jump to -150 but its obviasly an incorrect reading.

Despite the odd readouts somtimes its also like -10 but i get no knock at any rpm and car still pulls great. Using launch control will sometimes make it jump to negative numbers then stay that way untill engine is shutoff. Anyone else experiance this?

i was only interested really for when i get a stand alone and i have a logged map i can copy over for my base, suppose google will help instead lol

Do ur own man the stock map is not great as far as I can see what ecu are u going for I might be able to sort u with a base map , if u can find a f con v pro gold at good money I can get u the software etc and even send u a good base map

cool, cheers dude ill bear it in mind when finally decide which ecu im going for, at the moment its either omex 600 or a megasquirt but i dont like there software , the emanage is piss easy for tunning lol.

whilst on the subject of ignition timing, have you done many coil on plug conversions on ep's? im just fabracating a way to bolt down the 1gfe coils i just got and these will be run from my ultimate. should give me better control and i can run more boost

if it was me i would go for link haltech or hks i would steer well clear of ms , yeah cop will work well man

Any weird wiring issues of some sort reason asking if you say it runs fine but the logging feature is reading haywire seems odd. have you tried to insulate your ignition reference wires going to the ecu or any radio interference or ignition lead buggs could throw off that signal going back to the ecu or emanage or both..

@chris? why would you prefer the f con vs the emu.

Mine is also the same mate in getting readings of -130 ect it's odd :s
