they defo done something involving somthing from a cab maybe a ball bearing in one of the pipes so it will not go past 0.8 its stopped the check light coming on so im happy now lol :D

so you are trying to boost to 1 bar with a stock manifold and a topmount ? no wonder you're having problems

take the boost down to 0.7 bar and i bet none of the lights come on anymore .....

no no i didnt try to it was running at 1.2 when i bought it. it has been brought down by the engine tuners it got sent to which is why they put this ball bearing or what ever it was in one of the turbo pipes. advised me to get a fuel pressure reg and an fcd then get them to set it up for me if i wanted to run it at 1.2 bar again when it was in japan it must have had work done to it as the first rolling road one they did it was boosting 1.2 bar and came in at 158bhp im just glad its now running properly :D

1.2bar on a properly setup engine would see well over 200bhp... yours is completely stock judging by the photos.. i honestly dont know what they did tho to bring down the boost and i cant see how it was boosting that much in the first place.. did you check to see what ecu was in it?? just pull down the glove compartment and ull see the ecu behind it.. silver box.. see if theres anything written on it

we had a look its standard but they recon the jap who owned it has used the standard case and put an after market one in there seams to be a thing they do so he said just glad its not chucking up the check light now :D

it wouldnt throw up codes if it was aftermarket tho bud.. what id say was happening was that it was boost creeping like mad to get that sort of boost

why didnt they just loop back the hose?? she must of been sucking alot of air through there for it boost higher.. it was spiking more than boost creep so..

loop it back ?? what that mean i know that the standard bov isnot working properly maybe that has someting to do with it ?

recirculation plumbing

@akyakapotter: that's all they did to alter the boosting level..? i highly doubt that was the cause. that pipe jutting from the intake track is the recirculation pipe that would come from the boost solenoid (in select applications) or like in my case, it comes from the actuator exit nipple (stock actuator has 2 nipples). i doubt it very much but it may as well be a combination of other factors.. :|

could you take a picture of the engine bay and post it up.. something doesnt look right and just want to see a clearer picture to be sure

@akyakapotter: that looks like the stock layout of a bypassed boost solenoid. is that the current setup as it is in your engine right now..?

emissions controls

then i believe your problem is sorted..? the loop from the actuator back into the air intake is primarily an emissions control to recirculate the air dumped by the actuator.. :D

im not getting no engine light now but it think thats down to the bung that was put in the (pipe pic above) but have the bov venting to air as its fooked any way dose not seal properly new one on order

further diagnosis

i really doubt it was the bung, because it was located on the intake track in a low pressure zone that's not affected by positive pressure when on boost. i think it may have had something to do with your actuator (or maybe your BoV). was the exit nipple on the stock actuator bunged or plumbed to another area..?
also, you mentioned that your BoV is fooked..? what is happening to it..? exactly..?
