i just took out that little bit of metal and took a cruze up the road car boosted to 1.4 bar so put it back in back to 0.9 now the bov seams to be letting air out all the time and if im a little on thottle it leaks all the boost out im not sure on the actuator nipple ill have a look

anytime you lift off the throttle, you create some amount of vacuum in the main throttle body from where the BoV feeds that will activate it so that sounds normal. unless it's leaking when you are on WOT - that would be trouble. as for the stock actuator, there're 2 nipples on it. when mounted on the car, the exit nipple is a little hidden on the underside of the actuator so you can feel for it and ensure it's connected.

alien connector

that connector is alien to me but from where it is coming from, it looks like it was an after-market add-on. remove the slam panel on the driver-side and see if you can trace where it goes to. maybe that will help.

as for your BoV, that defo sounds fooked.. :( you will have to get a replacement..

your stock bov isnt connected at all right is it?? the open bit on the bov should be going into the efi pipe.. is the hole on the efi pipe blocked up where the bov should be?

im just puzzled man.. ive worked around these cars for years and i cant figure out how they tuned down the boost with the small bung... shes boosting at .9 so theres something still upping the boost cause by right it should only be around .65 of a bar with the high low switch bypassed.. you positive the actuator has 2 pipes coming off it? sorry for all the questions, just trying to get my head around it :)

i dont think ive ever seen a jam actuator like this... ive seen jam 1bar actuators with only one pipe so it stays at 1 bar.. im afraid im going to hit ya with the bad news now.... if ya want to keep at .9 of a bar or 1bar ull have to get supporting mods or the engine will blow...

mani
decat
fmic
fpr
and set up on a rolling road to check the fueling...

may i suggest you source a standard actuator for now and run on stock boost untill you get the funds together to gets the upgrades..

if you were to sell that actuator ud get a pretty penny for it as its rare id say.. a hks adjustable actuator is a good upgrade as you can adjust the boost with them easily.. also id get the mechanics to remove what ever they fitted if your going using a stock actuator for the time being
