Engine light on 2 x fault codes

ok mate ill get on the hunt for one its only that bit of metal they put in that pipe ill whip it out thanks for the advice mate i get paid in a min which is a good thing lol :D

prepare cause this is when the pockets start to burn mate.. its endless ;(.... i just have this feeling that theres more to this car and i dont know why...

do me a favour and check the block where ive circled in the picture below to see can you see 4e stamped on it..

ah just wondering really if it had engine work done.. the block could of been decked so the 4e wouldnt be as visible... ah well.. another thing mate to ease your mind.. get a compression test done on the engine so see how healty it is.. wont cost much at all... 160psi across all 4 cylinders would be normal.. if all is good then enjoy the starbo modding scene :)

heat up car to normal operating temps then knock her off...remove ht king lead and efi fuse.. pull one plug out at the time and stick in gauge.. crank engine for about 3 second to get a good reading. (have someone in the car to crank her and also get them to put the accelrator to the floor while cranking) move onto next cylinder not forgetting to replace previous plug.. pretty easy :) post the readings on here

@akyakapotter: i can see corofin12345 gave you all the help you needed on here. glad that you made some headway on this. share the compression readings when they come through.

@corofin12345: you mentioned that when doing the compression test, he should be at WOT. what if he wasn't, would it make a noticeable difference..?

not much really but its advised you do so you get a true reading.. the engine breathes better

@corofin12345: tru tru. i totally agree on that. i'd rep you but you already have more than a pot of gold and the system has asked me to spread some around first.. :D
