Does anyone have this?

I need the side runners which hold the stock side bodykit on. I touching mine up and the runners are rusted up pretty bad not really reusable.

They are the ones which sit behind the panel that goes behind the GT Turbo section on the side.

If anyone has a bodywork parts manual I can see if Toyota still do these?

i gave you the wrong number then. those brackets hold the side skirts on.

you need one of these (same both sides):

61491-10010

and either one of these depending on the side:

61492-10010 - RH
61493-10010 - LH

they look ok in the pic. a clean up and hammerite and they will be fine. ive rescued worse on my fiat!

Ah, banging cheers for those.

That GT in the pic is not mine, just one I found so I could identify the brackets. Mine were way more fooked that those :)

i thought my GT was rusty, but my brackets are like new. i dont think i have anything to worry about after seeing pics like the one above!!!

the first numbers i gave you are for the brackets that hold the side moulding to the door.

Just a quick heads up on what I've seen in the past - these brackets are the contributing factor to any sill corrosion I've seen in the past. The bracketry and screws rust initially which then transfer to the sill metal whilst any rusty debris falls into the sill causing further corrosion.

Seen this in various stages over the years so might be a wise thing to investigate the best ways to deal with the issue. Could save a few starbos from the scrapper!

I never knew they had any little brackets hidden away under there. Might be worth every now and then just taking the side kit out to check the condition and maybe put a coating on there to stop any corrosion.

Just as I thought those brackets have been discontinued as well so the search for some second hand ones in good shape continues.

if your desperate you could probably make some up reasonably easily.

if you can measure them up i could probably make you some up pretty cheap if you dont have the facilities or skills to make them!

It may well end up that route. The bodyshop the car is at currently should be able to knock something together if I can't source any. Maybe a part worth making some copies off now they don't make them anymore as mine can't be the only ones that have rusted away.

Cheers for the offer Dunc, I'll see what the next few days brings, hopefully a good solid second set :)

Having hassle sourcing a set of these, all the side rails are discontinued from Toyota NI.

The laughable thing is the front ones we need were only £13 a piece ffs.

Has anyone had any luck fabricating a solution elsewhere?

I feel your frustrations Jay, it took me a while to source a set of these after mine were rusted beyond repair.

If I did not find any I was going to look into fabrication but got lucky with a set.

I would say somebody handy with bending steel and making shapes should be able to copy these as they are very hard to get hold of, as myself and Jay have found out.

I'm looking for a set of these retainers myself for both sides. Both are rusted bad and disintegrated. Jay would you have anything?
