Recently I got a short shifter which I found it is a C's short shifter, Does anyone using it? and how it perform compared to the TRD one.

Not much in it. Trd shifter is in a slightly different position as it is a new unit. It sits a little closer to the driver.

The Cs shifter is a bit shorter than the trd.

I personally prefer the trd, but both are good and you would be hard pushed to know any difference unless they are side by side.

I on the other hand, bought the poverty version, the Hyper Shifter. Which was that little extension onto the gearbox itself. Made a big difference.

Quite a few people don't seem to like them. They say it is too short a shift???

Absolute DUNG these, mine ended up not letting me select 1st or 2nd so it got violently removed in 2 pieces :)

Ive got both shifters. My car came with a trd unit and i had a C’s one spare. I changed it over to see the difference and havent looked back. The C’s is shorter and sits a little higher too. I also combined the two by using the solid mounts on the C’s unit.

Maybe i should switch back over in the future to see if my opinion still stands…

Unpopular opinion here, but in comparison to other makes and models of cars around World in the 90's ( mainly subaru's ) Compared to the starlet's, The stock Shifter is amazingly good,Very direct and notchy, i do not imagine much more improvement could be had, apart from new OE parts,
But then again its unlikely i would attempt a short shifter, on my starlet atleast.
