are there any common problems that throw error 51 in a diagnostic check???

and where is the intake air temp sensor located please

51 Switch Condition Signal displayed when A/C is on when TE1 and E1 connected in test mode
A/C switch
Accelerator pedal, cable
ECU


I believe thats the one on the front of the inlet manifold? dont hold me to that tho im not too sure

as i havent got aircon (but i have got a A/C sensor shorted out with a wire) how do i turn it off, so the error wont come back???

Is the A/C switch turned on?

You could cut the AC1 wire going into the ECU, that should prevent code 51. Looking a the pinout for the EP91, it's the 3rd wire from the left on the bottom row of the 12P connector (looking at the wire side with the clip at the top).

had the same code on a friends car and it was a faulty TPS that caused it
