Exterior Glanza conversion

Considering I've found a stock 1997 UK 1.3 Toyota Starlet with full service history, one owner and everything you need for £900, I was thinking whether or not it would be worth converting the exterior to look like a Glanza (only 17...insurance is a pain for Glanza, but very low on the ordinary Starlet).

I'm not too bothered about having 100% genuine JDM parts, but basically want a solid-looking body kit: probably a hood too, getting rid of the ugly front lights and installing decent rims.

What sort of money will I be looking at to do this? Including painting the kit (bear in mind that the kit will have to be colour-matched to a white car).

I don't want to pour too much money into the car mainly because I'd lose most of it at resale :flame:, but I think I saw a '97 Silver Glanza replica go for £2,500 on Pistonheads (assuming they were paid the asking price).

i'd say if ya really want a glanza v or a gt wait a year or so and then get one, unless you really arent that bothered about the power.

drive round in a battered old fiesta or pug or somin, get used to road conditions and learn how to drive properly. then get a gt or glanza,

for a bit more than 3k you get a pretty decent car.

To be honest, I'm not really. :)

I don't know what will happen when I go to university, so it's best for me to stick with a basic car which will hold its value...but I really want something good-looking which no one else on the road has. I'd welcome any suggestions by the way. ;)

Don't quote me on this, but I'm sure the Glanza just has a different bumper, lights and boot spoiler. Look around, you might find one that has had the front end stoved in that you can rob the bits off.

:)

I was under that impression too, however I'll have to sit wait for someone in the Midlands to crash their white Glanza...sure hope it won't be anyone here. XD
