if I knew how to read Japanese I'd be able to extract information from the Hyper Revs catalogue....unfortunately my Japanese is limited to "Pikachu", "Sake'" and "Kamikaze!"...which would make up an interesting description :p

lmfao

as riko said its a very rare ecu and is featured in the hyper revs magazine. from what i can make out farina racers is/was a tuning firm that once specialised in the tuning of starlets. i beleive the ecu is similar to that of the jam/mines/sard etc type ecu's where the fuel cut is removed, the rev limit is higher and has aggressive ignition and fuelling maps.

has the car got any other modifications? i.e uprated mani etc

my car was a ex track car over in japan under the bonnet looks stock bar a blitz nur spec exhaust still has tmic!

if you could do both that would be nice, specially for the techies of this site.

also take some pics of your car and under the bonnet.

have you still got standard mani and cat?

the previuos owner in japan probably put as much as he could back to stock to sell on, so it may be worth buying a new mani possible decat and an fmic.

cos running abar boost on stock tmic and mani, means u will kill your engine in no time.

1st of all its farina racing lol.. that ecu is more of a myth as its incredibly rare to find..

farina racing are THE 5e tuners in japan... everything they made was for the 5e, in fact they where one of the few (apart from hrf) which had an ecu dedicated to the 5e.. as for its specs.. god knows.. the one we had was for a 5e with a td06 running 550cc injectors.. they are a mad bunch of ppl..

totally insane ecu! u should NEVER sell it unless somebody offers u a kidney ;)

ps DONT OPEN IT UP .. it has a light sensitive chip which is there to protect the software, u could erase the data on it by opening the ecu up...

The Farina is one damn rare ECU, and very very good. I had one with a reprogrammable chip for EP82, it was just awesome, It is now managing a 5E with high profile cams and TD06 etc etc...
if your car has a Farina just like the one I had than it must have been a beast!!!

Crazy. Fucking crazy.

There's a pic of one in the HyperRevs magazine but unfortunately I can't read japanese. Looks like a standard EP91 ECU with a big sticker on it.
