They I look at this 'two wrongs don't make a right'. I would have made a complaint, if you had not been in the wrong in the first place.

not sure when the law changed , but you used to get 3 strikes for smoking joints in public or holding weed, strikes are deducted after 5 years. I was on 2 at one stage.. you get a caution each time .. no fine's!! and if its your 3rd strike you goto magistrates court , where you either go guilty .. or they have to send the case to crown court to be tried by a jury , *( yes a jury made up of normal people who get to laugh at the case brought before them) .. well you owned up to it so I guess the no doubt of guilt. your case may be different if you were in a car.. What was you charged with ? possession of a class b ? £90 is harsh !
ive been driving a long time and was always out in other cars with friends etc. and I have many amazing story's related to being pulled up and searched ( normally on a daily basis ) we've had instances such as the one you mentioned with the intimidation ! but also a few times where you wind down the window and a big cloud of smoke comes bellowing out as the officers Chuckle ! " cor ! , you on fire in here boys " !) all of us rofl and told to move on as "theres been burglarys in the area , but we can see your not doing any of that! " rofl once again. many things I can't reveal for obvious reasons , but we've had things that we didn't own up to having that could have landed us in serious trouble.. police broke into my friends car one night , and claimed that the tax disc " looked fake"
someone got arrested for being in possession of a bong. we've had some real cheech and chong moments.
late one night / early morning we stopped off in a remote car park for a smoke, and happened to park right in the middle of a major crime sting , it was like 3am and all of a sudden we were swarmed by plain clothes cid's with backup torches and headlights everywhere ! at the time it was some scary shit ! we didn't have
a clue who it was, and we were lean at the time !
I just hate the fear these days just from even seeing a police car , even tho my cars 100% legit , and nothing dodgy on me
I still get the dreaded paranoia. makes me laugh tho looking back on it. like the others say. " take it on the chin " but don't let them take the outright piss,
