fuel gauge issues

good evening people

today i went to fill my car up on fuel seeing the warning light came on. brimmed it and went and paid came back to my car and found the light still on. the needle has gone over the full mark so im wondering if it cant see the fuel level on the potentiometer i wonder ??? Please help people ???

Its a different switch in the fuel tank for the low level light, it could be the wire has got damaged and shorted to the body somewhere and this will bring the light on. You can access the fuel sender wiring under the back seat bench.

The same exact thing happened to me months ago. The light still hasnt gone off, need to have a look soon really.

If it annoys you. And you can't fix it. Take the bulb out the back of the cluster

I've got the opposite problem - my light never comes on. I had problems with my EP82 last night and I noticed that the black&white wire from the fuel pump just stops dead next to the drivers seat, so I believe it would be this wire.
