Glanza ep91 engine management

Hey guys. First post. I bought a glanza about a month ago and while driving last night the engine management light came on. I done the diagnostics test and it comes back as coolant temp sensor. Code number 22. And while trying to start it this morning it takes 3 turns on the key and I can't touch the throttle for about 10 seconds otherwise it's like it's about to die but afterwards it goes great no problems. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Coolant temp sensor or wiring is at fault. Give the plug connection and wiring a visual check. Also check for any water ingress into the plug. If that all checks out then it looks like you will be needing a new sensor

Probably the wiring mate, there's two wires heading to the green coolant sender near the thermostat. If one of these has broken just fix it.

hey Jay, if its an ep91, wont the temp sensor be the grayish 3 wire tri-angular one?
i think the green one is for the fan?

Whatever the green one is for mate. Pretty sure it's two wires and if one of them breaks it will create starting problems.

Seen it on a 96 V during the winter and a 96 V last month.

i always was of the understanding that the glanza has a 3 wire sensor? having never owned one i cannot say for sure though!

yeah,if i remember correctly, with respect to coolant temps, my 1998 glanza has a gray 3 wire sensor for the ecu
and a green single wire sensor for the fan

i'd have to check tonight if i get a chance

What are the effects of this if not changed? would the ecu just dump in more fuel thinking it's cold if it can't take an accurate reading?
