Guides to Tuning Please?

Right, im after any links to guides and information on Mapping ECU's, more so for information on Piggyback ECU Mapping/Tuning but any information like that would be great? im going to map my own car but want to read some guides and books etc before so.

Mapping something like emanage isnt all that hard as you are adding to an existing map, i would imagine it wouild be hard to tell if you going in the right direction though without a dyno. You could set your fueling up with a wideband and then look at putting in some timing but det cans should be used for that id imagine to be safe.

Yeah i wont be messing with ignition timing mate, i believe very few people mess with ignition timing on a piggyback, its just basicly the fueling im going to do but i need to know where to start and how everything works on the emanage software etc etc.

My car made 15hp with just 3 degrees more timing mate, there are big gains to be made in that area, but obviously you can get it wrong...

Ahh never knew that, can ignition timing be changed safely while mapping on the road? how is it monitored?

Im pretty new to mapping matey

Read " Builting and tuning high-performance Electronic Fuel Injection" by Ben Strader. I got mine from amazon and found it very useful. I think you are best to tune your ignition on a dyno as you can see the increase in power and you can also see when you have gone passed the point of making more power by advancing ignition.
