right lads ,the headlights on my car have a horrible yellow colour of them ,probably from old age and i reackon it might fail nct because of it,is there any way of separting the glass part ,without having to place in an oven and then reseal

as trev said get a good compound polish on them mine took about 20 mins to get gleaming from the nasty yellow colour!!!

will i have to separte the glass ,as the yellow colour looks as if it is inside,is the only to separte them is by putting them in the oven or can they be separted any other way,without having to reseal

Lights

It generally tends to be the outside only as the sun turns it yellow.If you remove the lights and take the bulbs out you can clean them a bit on the inside using a polish on a cloth attached to a rod through the bulb hole..

sound lads,thanks for the advise,the missus brother works in valeting ,so i can get that really good window cleaner,so hopefully it will do the job

as said the yellowing tends to be mostly on the outside looks so much better once its clean really does make a big difference!!!
