Hey everybody, I'm new to the EP82 game, I've owned a couple of AE86's (still have one) and a bunch of other cars over the years and just ran into my first issue with my newly imported EP82 so I decided to jump on here for guidance. I'm getting water in my cylinder 3 spark plug hole and it seems like i'll be doing a head gasket swap whenever parts get to me in the U.S. from the U.K., hope to make some friends on here when I have time to chat, in the meantime my website is TeqDigest.com and I cover Toyota cars only with plenty of articles I'm putting together now to post. Thanks everyone.
Pics of my car can be found here: https://www.teqdigest.com/post/a-starlet-is-born-ep82-introduction

That could be taken so far out of context...

Anyway, welcome to the site, hope it helps answer a few questions. Looks like you have a buyers dream right there - pretty much stock without too many modifications. That's the best way to buy them.

You are one of the incredibly few Americans to own a GT. Seen only a handful over all the years that TGTT has been going.

Health to enjoy!

hahahaha! I've been thinking about that... might be faster than dealing with tearing the manifolds off to get this work done.

I always liked the Glanza from GranTurismo2 but when liked the quad light EP82 even more. There's a white one with a FMIC and some Sparco Rally wheels that really had my mind churning up the idea of buying one and now two years later here we are! It does suck that there aren't more here because then maybe I'd be able to source parts a bit closer, everything has been either from the motherland, UK or AUS/NZ for parts.

Yeah the tops and edges on the plug leads wear over time and leak. Also could be just as simple as dirt not letting it seal correctly
:)

I'm hoping so, I'll find out tomorrow...I'm taking advantage and powder coating the valve cover since I have to crack it open anyways.

I'm going with Tein Green and leaving the lettering and stripes in a brushed metal finish, I saw your engine bay while I was snooping around the other day it looks really dope.

Thank you, it's not perfect but the only gripe is that the previous owner installed some kind of silly fog lights at each corner of the bumper grill leaving holes...the stock fogs work perfectly fine.

Yeah, I had someone chop my bumper which annoyed me to be fair. I was really lucky to get an unchopped bumper for my car. But that's got to be a rarity these days. So some custom 3D Printed? Fibre Glassed fab work may be the way to go for you.

Personally I like to OEM bumper. Love the Mk1 Bumper too.
