Hi guys.
i own an ep82GT. i also own a sera. and i also have a 4e engine lying around.
my project is-
Stage 1= Remove the 5EFHE from the sera. pop in the 4E engine.
Stage 2 = Then dismantle the 5EFHE and the 4EFTE from my ep and turbocharge the 5EFHE and fix it to the starlet.
The wire harness and ecu are stock from the sera. only the engine is swapped. The distributor and the throttle body is from the 5EFHE engine coz the wire clip was different. there is a sensor at the rear side of the 5EFHE engine and i think its the knock sensor. now the 4e is in place but there is no sensor to plug the wire clip in the 4E engine. car starts n revs ok but while trying to launch, it hesitates a bit and engine check light comes on. after awhile it goes off.
Any suggestions as to what should be done guys?
btw tmrw iam fixing up the 5EFHE engine with the 4EFTE pistons and cylinder head. Hope there wont be an issue in ignition timing and fuel injection timing as i'l be using the 4EFTE ecu.
