Sorry if this is the wrong thread,

But my gf got up this morning to take my lil :quadgt: in to work got less than 2 mins away and she had to turn back as these lights were on, see bellow.

The car is gettin really hot and the engine coolant tank is full right up, could it be the theomstat, as i dont think its the head gasket because there is no mayo under the oil cap ???? and as you can see the battery light and light next to it are stayin on ????

All of the lights?! So she was dirving with the door open? :D

Sure its not an ECU or electrical fault?

Do the diagnostics test.

yea somethings going cookoo with your instrument panel unless she had the door open and seatbelt off when taking the picture? strange for all 4 to be on at once tho maybe youve got a dodgy connection

The pair on the right are battery charge warning and cat temperature warning.

Check your connections to the alternator to make sure nothing has fallen off. There are tests you can do to check to see if the alternator is borked, but I don't know what they are.

As for the cat warning light, that suggests to me the cat is fucked. Take it off and have a look at the matrix inside, chances are it's all fused together and getting too hot.

both lights were on when my alternator fucked.....my decat is fine and no problems since.....the other is your battery telling you its not getting enough charge....buy a volt meter and see what volts your running while running and not running.....should be 12 volts off and 14-15 when on

Easy way to test the alternator, turn car on, while it's running disconnect the battery, negative terminal first then positive, engine should still tick over.
Check thermostat to see if it's operating correctly, pull it out the block, top coolant hose will lead you to it. Put the kettle on then chuck the thermostat in there, see if it opens.
