hesitating/missing and fault code 14

Car seems to be hesitating going from 3000-5000rpm, feels like it doesnt want to accelerate at all.

Done a diagnostics test and got Code 14

Ignition signal
No IGF signal to ECU 8 to 11 times in succession
Troubled area:
  • Igniter and Ignition Coil circuit
  • Igniter
  • Ignition Coil
  • ECU

Im running a JAM ECU if that makes any difference

Hope you get it sorted man, nothing worse than not being able to find exact source!

Hopefully!
It happened for the first time yesterday. Drove it earlier today and it was fine, but then started at it again this evening.

Did it do it when cold or when the car was warm - did it continue until you stopped or did it clear whilst driving?

When warmed up and kept at it til I got home.
Its not real bad, like the car isnt jumping or that, just doesnt want to rev.
over 4500-5000rpm it will go again as normal

Change your spark plugs first.
Then check your leads.
Then the dizzy.
If none of those, then wiring, igniter issues, or ecu.

If the two don't sort it, then you will have to borrow one of the other three from someone for testing.

Error 14 happens when a spark doesn't happen (or happens and the igniter iGf signal is faulty).
