there xenon gas bulbs not HID, HID is a completely diff thing which needs a converter(ballast) and has different colour ratings (K's).
HID kits are about £100+ for a good one, and are 100% better than any normal bulbs u can buy. all expensive cars have them like Mercs and Bmw's etc... range rovers annoy me cos they blind you..
xenon gas bulbs are good for the money and better than standard yellow crappy ones

BUT...think its a bit of a waste of money
ok yeah they do look flash but that money cud be spent much better in other areas
got jus the superbright type bulbs with a slight blue tinge (similar to wot most motorsport shops sell) still look loads better than than standard
but then thats jus me

Well i dont think you needed to change your HID bulbs as often as the std ones. Well if you just want the look than a white bulb will do the job for you. You gotta have a set of them to know the difference.

Yeah proper HID conversion make the world of difference. These older cars have very poor lighting technology when compared to modern cars so a light upgrade wouldn't go a miss.

deffo get the full HID kit, great piece of kit
i got mine from www.hid-lights.com and simply chose the kit you want(i got the gp thunder pro kit - no cutting, plug and blind lol )

NO, if outer is HID, you can use LED white side lights on the inner. Looks as nice. thats what i did, instead using those yellow side lights.
of cos the Hi beam won't be HID, but dont use it that often anyway.

Just come have a look at my GT and tell me its not worth doing, the difference from my old GT's lighting to this one is unreal.
