step 1 - remove terminal from battery

step 2 - leave it some time. to be safe 20 minutes

step 3 - reconnect terminals, set your channels on the radio.

once i have replaced the battery termial do i have to start the engine and let it idle for some time?

if u have a jam, blitz, mines etc ecu then yes ull need to leave it idle for 10mins... (ideally) if u have the stock ecu, then there is no need :)

or you can just remove the EFI fuse so you dont have to set your radio & clock again. Its in the fusebox located in the engine bay (passengers side) think its 4th one down, it will tell you on the reverse of the plastic cover

nothing. you reset the ecu if you have an error code, fix the problem and just reset it to clear the codes.

How do you reset the error codes on the ECU then??

Ive just done a Glanza V conversion into non Turbo ep91, and the engine cranks over but im getting no spark or anything...thinking its the ECU...

Any help, would be great!!!

Some people might dissagree with that.

Chris over here has had problems with cars he has mapped an E Manage blue on, in particular it starts running lean after a short time.

He thinks the stock ECU is making alterations to injector duties due to the changes in the fuelling made by the EMB.

Its still the same map but it shows that the application of the map can change running performance, all due to the differences in engine sensor readings into it.

I would tend to agree with that. There is an element of adjustment the stock ECU can make based on the readings it is getting. My own experiences have shown this happens over a space of weeks/months.

Resetting the ECU will restart the ECU's learning process.
