Might be looking at buying one of these but my car is currently going through a forged rebuild. Just wondering what kinda power etc would I have to achieve in order to match the tdo5'd integra? I'm in 2 minds whether to swap or just keep the gt:confused: What are your opinions on the matter?

Does the Vtec become not existent though once turbo'd?

Remember someone once saying once a Vtec has been turbo's its no longer a Vtec, sounded about right to me.

Hope someone can enlighten me on this subject.

Turbo`d hondas always seem to make or be capable of crazy power! I remember at a car show in edinburgh there was an ITR turbo making 392bhp@1bar :homer:

My mate had a turbo`d civic and im sure he said there was still tec there?

Yeah this teg is in edinburgh as well mate, my dads mate just got it as a p/x. I take it v-tec gets eliminated as the turbo just takes over?

Friend off mine turboed his DC2 integra after supercharging it first.

Was fairly lively, dont think the Vtec stayed on it though

Did you have a starlet? If so how did it compare to the teg power wise? This teg has an evo turbo in it, so a gt with a td04/5 would be good to know how they compare.

do you mean that once turbo, the vtec doesnt kick in? I dont think thats right as what would be the different to other turbo cars?

The turbo would kick in and once tailed off it would be the vtec, now thats something different and appealing!

vtec is controlled by revs, it still cuts in, just not as noticable. the turbo will dominate the delivery.

Just in relation to a similar spec gt, like a td04/5 one, obviously handling as well.

in that case go for the turbo teg. Youve tasted starlets already, take a bite into this and if its not your liking then come back but there is no reason you should want to ;)

To be honest never raced the 2 cars, but having sat in the Integra would have wiped my car specially at the top end.

He ended up selling the Integra cause it was just too much hastle even after sinking absolute fortune into it..

Controlled by oil pressure is it not? But i know what your saying, bang from the turbo will make the vtec not so noticable.

Im sure my mate said once his turbo ran out of puff he was just left howling in Vtec y0

What was wrong with it? Expensive to maintain etc?
