just back from tuners

just back from tuners, tad disapointed tho, 163bhp at flywheel, with 10psi of boost. apparently the actualor is too weak and cant hold the boost. so just waiting on external wg to solve that problem. on the plus side, my speedo is bang on accurate :D

am in the middle of sorting the same set up man, 10psi is 0.7 bar would think it should be around 180 @ 10psi/0.7bar, how well is your actuator mounted man.

i am using the standard scooby actuator, all i did is cut the old bracket off, and added a piece in and it lines up nicely. i will see obout getting pics up when its not snowing. it was getting to 10 psi, then fading away like there was a leak, but tuner says its the actuator not havn a strong enug spring to hold the boost. i am just waiting on my external coming in , so i can do away with actuator. still goes like stink tho. also run out of threads on the arm, so cant boost any more. :(

Aye thats cool, dont be hooked up on the numbers just now, Where did you make most power and at what boost pressure?
Obviously your power will be more once you get the boost sorted.

Did you check that it worked before you fitted the turbo. To me it looks like you have not off set the bracket. May be the problem is that the actuator is not back far enough and not holding the exhaust flap shut.

i would advise that you re- weld the existing welds on the manifold or this will happen..............

that was the day after the little meet in aberdeen the other weekend.

it is a concoction of bits, the stainless bit is a bend from a demon 40mm screamer pipe with then a tial flange welded on (cos demon pipe has wrong size flange for tial wastegate) all that took me around 3/4 of a day to weld up, weld the penny in the turbo, fit and plumb up. will get some pics 2day of it fitted

If i were you id just bin that manifold and buy something better. It will crack again being cheapo stainless steel.
