No reply to my email as yet. Has anyone gotten a reply from the guy regarding the cost/shipping of the bluetooth emitter?

Wouldn't recommend using it to check for knock, at the moment det. is shown as yes or no.
Really! The ability to detect knock in real time was the main draw for me. It would have been cool to have a visual indicator while tuning...I guess det cans are still the way to go then. Maybe I should experiment with the resonance frequency setting of the knock sensor for use with the emu.

There's a delay of 1.3 seconds plus the PC app only show yes or no against det , so yes really ... Maybe the android app is different and plots knock

The Knock setting on the safc II will give you a trace. Not as pretty as the above.
eg I boosted today to 18psi no knock but later I was boosting through 16psi up a steep hill and had the revs drop. Even while driving I could glance and see no knock at all where the revs trace had clearly stumbled.
ps The safcII digital gauge setting has a max knock readout that sometimes shows knock the trace doesnt show so I use it first then check with the trace.

Worth noting you can click the retrace and playback when you are not driving.
I have found with number gauges if i get a spike of knock it has gone before I can read anything . Safc II graphics are from the pixelated past but still useful.

The emu has an excellent datalog feature. It's just that as far as I know no one has pinned down the correct frequency for the 4efte knock sensor to allow the emu to detect knock. Using det cans to listen for knock under load while tuning is a foolproof method but personally I would love to use knock detection on the emu as well. I guess no one has really played with it as it really isn't necessary but I have a little OCD when it comes to such things. I think I know what my next project will be lol.

Sounds like a good project. SafcII relies on the stock knock sensor . From what I read there is a lot of variation with knock and small knock can be missed with a SAFCII but I fiind this sensitive enough to tune out audible pinging knock I have at idle and have tuned all kinds of knock at boost.

It seems the emu would use the stock knock sensor too.

hey gryzor, have you tried actually driving with this plugged in as yet? does it work when the car's moving or have any issues?

at the moment for me the bluetooth one keeps dropping the signal after about 30secs....just need to get time for more tests maybe move the bluetooth into the cabin out of the enigne bay...

thanks for the update
a guy on the other site was reporting his was locking up as soon as he started moving...so maybe you all are encountering similar issues

maybe interference from the engine/electronic with the Bluetooth signal
