Leak In Passenger Foot-well

Guys, while replacing my heater matrix, I noticed the carpet in the passenger side foot well was damp.
I lifted the carpet to have a closer look and there seems to be water coming in from somewhere. I put a towel down thens ome rice grains to absorb the moisture out of the carpet etc, but the water still seems to be coming in somewhere near the gas pedal.
Any ideas where it could be leaking from?

First thing I would do get someone to hold a garden hose in spots outside and you in the car to see where it is coming from.

Could be coming in the windscreen too

Thanks, will do.
its quite strange as it seems to be coming from that corner, but i didnt see any water/damp coming from the windscreen or anywhere when i had the dash out recently.

A/C pipe gromet, heater matrix pipe gromet and the A/C discharge pipe are all in around there bud, also check its not the fannbox slightly out off place and letting it in through the scuttle panel

Tell me about it. I thought all of the above was on the passenger side?

True. I fitted a new door last year, and adjusted it a couple of times. But like you said if it was the door, I assume water would be coming in, from the top, not from the bottom.
All the rubber bungs are in tact underneath the carpet also.
Was hoping to have a chilled weekend. Nope back to working on the GT lol.

Driver side or passenger side?

Either way I'd advise a water test then watch the area to trace the leak to it's highest point.

Had a mare of a leak on my 5e way at the start of ownership, turned out the gasket between the brake servo and the bulkhead had perished letting water into the drivers foot well. Absolute melter of a thing to fix lol.

Sorry lads, I've amended my post. The damp is on the drivers side. There was some damp on the passenger side also, but it seems like my old matrix was leaking.

@Jay its funny you mention the servo bulkhead, as it seems to be a common fault in the corsas also.
How did you manage to reseal it again.....please don't say its a dash out job again lol

Did it about ten years ago so my memory is a bit foggy.

Servo has to come off the bulkhead for access so it's either servo out or dropped forward enough to slide the gasket out and in. Servo is held by four bolts up behind the dash which have to be removed. The servo connects to your brake pedal so just look at that. I do remember having to remove the drivers seat and lie on my back in the footwell for most of it.

Water test it first though in case it's not your issue.
