loosing coolant

I am loosing alot of coolant i think i know where it is coming from the pipe that goes to the thermostat is this a common thing?

It can be mate, check that the clip isn't lose or the pipes split just before the clip, if it's split new pipe I'm afraid,

Where exactly along the pipe?Cud be a busted hose or a slack clamp.

i think i saw a bubble at the top of the hose were the clip is, alot come out though bloody coolant everywhere over the gearbox all down the side of the engine. i had noticed i was loosing a bit thought it might of been headgasket so am relieved in a way!!

hose cud be split rite by the clamp.So atleast thats a minor problem an easy to fix.

i had to buy one yesterday mate, its 11.50 including vat. ordered mine at 9ish and it was in by 2

he is saying its the thermostat housing not the hose now! so what are you quoting him for 11.50 for the hose or the thermostat housing?
