Correct, the eMS-Pro is an older, MS1 based system. The DIYPNP is MS2 based.

Yes. The directions for the Zeal Daughterboard show how to add it to an existing V3.0 (through hole) or V3.57 (surface mount) board. Even on the surface mount boards, you can just connect it to headers on the board so you don't have to deal with the SMD parts. Let me know if there's anything I can clear up in the directions to make them better.

Yes, ran across this thread and some questions about our products, so I thought I'd answer them. The Zeal daughterboard is pretty new and I know I probably have a few confusing spots left in our directions for using it.

Great, :) will it be possible to order an ms-ii with the zeal daughterboard already fitted?

@Fatman - thats all i will need right? and use the msii extra code along with finding the right wires and plug it into our loom..

Yep - that's all you'll need. Small mods required for boost control, nitrous etc if those are a requirement. I've just finished my two plug loom for my EP82 and will be testing it out tomorrow :) Wiring required is done, just needs to be tested and I need to do some further experimenting with the TPS.

Unfortunately for those of us with manual starlets, Toyota didn't see fit to include a TPS (throttle position sensor) that has a linear range of measurement across the entire range of motion of the pedal. Instead we've got an off and an on :p

This isn't the end of the world, when I was running MS on my Glanza I was running without a linear TPS and could tune adequately with just the map sensor. It is a bit of a pain and would be nice to solve so I'm going to write up a guide to converting the stock loom to run the linear TPS from an auto EP. Other compatible TPS can be found all over the place actually, many Toyota ones will fit.

Great bud. im sure it wont be easy to find and auto tps over here if any! if theres is any other tps that will fit our tb that would be great :)

there will be one coming shortly i would say. got my ms2 today, so some more details will be added as we sort everything out.

perfect :) just waiting for more info and will mail matt @ diyautotune to process the order.

1 question: if i was going to order the pcb 3.7(new one with smd board) its going to have some different pinouts... then its just a case where i need to match the pins right? fatman is going to upload a diagram for the pinouts on the MS to starlet loom right?

Big update coming soon, progress temporarily halted as I finish putting in my other engine.

Wiring details are done for both EP82 and EP91, dual VR conditioner assembled, tested and working and getting a solid cranking RPM. Just need to fix my MS2 spark output :)

I take it you mean 3.57? Yes, I'll be adding pinout diagrams.

If you're getting it prebuilt, why not go for a DIYPNP? Would certainly save you a lot of hassle...

yes 3.57 sorry for that. cos it has less fetures i think? and also, the MS2 can be used in another car while the PNP cant.. or at elast thats what i think.

They share just about the entire feature set as far as I'm aware. You are right about portability though.

As a brief ETA my engine is back in the car and have done about half the plumbing and most of the wiring towards starting it again. Can't acheive much more on the MS until I have a car to run it on :D

The other thing you should REALLY be ordering is a wideband O2 sensor, I highly recommend the Innovate LC-1, as of this evening I actually have two of them! Wired directly into the MS this allows for some fantastic logging capabilities and automatically adjusting the map based on logged data is a great tuning tool.

anyone wants to buy an auto TPS to go with the MS!? as i just paid for two and i didn't notice (well i paid more then other but this just looked perfect and other where dirty etc) and items are already in the post now so seller cannot refund me and send one :(
