Megasquirt timing and idle valve setup

So I used the megasquirt table generator to create a timing table for my stock 4e with a ct9 and it seems to be running good so far. It has 18.8 degrees of timing at 1 bar of boost. Is there a stock 4efte timing table available?

Also Im trying to figure out how to setup the stock PWM idle air control valve on a ep82 4efte. Not sure where to start since I need the frequency for the valve but megasquirt only has preset values.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

The stock aircon/idle up air solenoids are simple switched on/off devices - they tend to melt down if you run them PWM from my experience. The main idle up is water temp based anyway so you don't really need it unless you want to cover alternator or aircon load. Ive not bothered on any of my customers cars. In situations where custom inlets are used ive then setup proper bosch two or three wire PWM solenoids.

Oh man. I have been trying to run the idle up valve on the intake manifold in pwm for the past 3 weeks and its worked like crap. Ill try out the on and off and see if that improves anything. I appreciate the help. Ill definitely change those settings. Thank you!

Do you know anything about what timing should look like on a stock ct9 4e?

Haha yeah thats probably why. I honestly never bother as the throttle body idle up does everything anyway. Its only if the throttle body has been changed that I setup an aftermarket solenoid. If you wanted to, you could try adapting a 20v 4age solenoid on, they work reasonably well with PWM.

I'll have a dig through and see if I've got a timing table for a stock setup - the last ct9 tune I did was using a Link ecu and it had one of my full size/flow turbo manifolds on it so the ignition table would be quite advanced by comparison.

As said a hard question because keeping it safe for the individual engine and mods eg Power from manifold and exhaust changes.
This web site has a tune with Ep91 stock map but looks like extra fuel from fpr may have power down before 3k for a ct9. The power part of the map might be worth looking at. if you have some experience with this you can compare the published stock starlet dyno maps and interpret the differences.
