My Starlet was only imported from England to Ireland in August of this year, i bought it off the guy not long after because the turbo needed replaced and the car came with a VOSA pass certificate.

Anyway problem is i've lost the Vosa certificate which i need to tax the car which is due at the end of next month, i havent yet registered the car in my name (will be doing so next week) but im wondering how exactly i can get a replacement Vosa cert?
Will they send one over to Ireland if i phone and explain my situation?

Especially since we dont have Vosa over here we just go to an mot centre and order a new one, if the car is registered in your name.

Can anyone shed light on what i should do atm?
Any help appreciated as always guys

Or can i obtain a certificate from an Irish local MOT centre even though its last was acros the water? Doubt it tho..

I'm assuming you mean NI rather than down south Ryan? Because we're still in the UK the mainland MOT certificate should be fine.

According to the VOSA website you need to contact a VOSA mot centre for a replacement :

https://www.gov.uk/replacing-lost-damaged-mot-certificate

Because the MOT centres here are run by the Driver & Vehicle Agency I'd doubt they are able to provide the replacement document.

Probably best to contact VOSA directly and see what they say, I'd imagine they can post a duplicate out to you :

Hope that helps,

Jay

Yes Jay thats exactly what i meant. I wasnt too convinced about getting one from an MOT centre i knew it would be too good to be true.

I'll give Vosa a bell in the mornin and see what they can do, thanks for the advice Jay an ile post up the results in case this happens any other half a head :p Lol
