Hi
As above some of u may know i'v jus done a big engine build including fittting HEL brake lines

So 1 month of trying to get brake pressure &. We have no brakes at all

Just fitted a 2nd hand master cylinder & brake servo & still have no brakes at all

Basically thres no brake pressure even after a few pumps
& when i start the car up pedal jus goes straight down to the floor

Thres no leaks anywhere on all the pipe connections etc

I'm actually losing the faith now :(

I had a nightmare trying to get a good brake pedal after removing all the calipers to paint them. Pumping the pedal and bleeding them that way so many times and using the brake vacuum bleeder in work, I had a bit of pressure in the pedal, spoke to Jay about it cause was starting to lose the rag with it and he informed me that they're a nightmare to get air out of the brake system, but after while of driving easy pedal started to come better. If you hav a compressor you cud try the vacuum bleeder way an see if helps.

Hope ya get it sorted

If it was me I'd start at the master cylinder and open off the pipes 1 at a time to see if there's pressure! If there's not there then it's a master cylinder issue! If there is then see is there pressure coming off the abs pump! Then same as above! If no pressure it's abs pump problem! If there is then on to thep pipe on each caliper! See where there's pressure or not! I'd then let the calipers free flow fluid through them then leave it overnight!

I've seen perfect working master cylinders get fooked from just goin dry bein took from one car to another!

Also before all that if the pin from the servo into the master cylinder isn't centred in the master then you'll have symptoms like you're discribing!

Hi & thanks for the input guys :)

I understand completely what your all saying

I have had the servo & master changed of a running car

Servo n master was changed from a ABS glanza

But my car is a GT ep82 with no ABS

We had the both rear calipers changed from another car n these calipers are in perfect working order

Wen we bleed the brakes its only the both rear brakes that have a more of a fizz rather than air bubbles

There are no leaks at all anywhere

As my friend presses the foot brake i can hear a air noise from near the master/servo is this normal?

Also as we press the brakes we can hear fluid at the rear brakes rushing around the pipes

& brake pedal gets hard after a few pumps then if i let go of it for 2 sec's it goes right down to the floor then :(

So stressing now it really is i jus want the car out of my unit been a long project :(

can you tell us how you bled the system?
You have to pedal 4-6 times and then press and hold the pedal while someone losens the bleed nipple on one caliper abit so as to let out any air thats in the system. do this about 3 to 4 times for each wheel. Remember to top up brake fluid after doing each wheel.
In some vehicles that ive encountered, the pedal sinks to the floor when you press down on the brake and keeps goin abit further more when you keep holding it. After 2 days of running it all turned back to normal and the brake was fine and the pedal didnt sink.
You cannot 100% bleed all the air out of the system. unless you spend a good deal on brake fluid and a whole day bleeding the system.

IF you are still having problems with the pedal then replace the brake washers in the master pump. feel the inside of the cylinder bore when you remove the master pump. if the walls are scratched and not smooth then its better to replace the whole unit.
