Hi well I had a 1991 Gt Turbo Starlet and I've Upgraded to a 1998 Glanza V, Just thought I'd show some pics etc.

The car sounds completely different not as loud and agressive but a more calm note at all rpm levels. Makes me want to give it the beans.

sad to say last alignment i got was from automotive arts and i vowed never to go back. Up to this day my steering wheel still wasn't straight and the car still felt funny.

Now that is what ya called using what ya got to make it work. Looka them extensions and step downs just to reach from one end of engine bay to the next to tighten alternator bracket aka oil dipstick bracket.

This pic was taken when everything was hooked up and we could not find the radiator cap for about an hour till I deduced finding it made no sense because it could not fit on this particular radiator. So we took a 14lb one off a close by vehicle and replace it on the test drive.

welcome along mate, really nice write up there with lots of mods and with a nice bhp figure to compliment everything ;) well done
 
Believe it or not yesterday i noticed oil in my coolant overflow bottle and around my radiator cap. Drove to the supermarket and back home which is like 2mins driver on low rpm. Went back to the car like 3 hours later. Car started lumpy and was popping out the back went and smelt the exhaust and could smell coolant.

Then it started idling like a sub and very lean on the wideband. Pulled off the spark plug wires to hear if any cylinders were down seems like number 4 isn't working properly I'm really hoping its just a head gasket.
 
Hi guys me again, update. Removed the turbo engine cause I was done with the whole speed thing. Now I am back at it again. Sold everything out the car except the guages. Now I have a Greddy T517z, ordering and intercooler and universal piping kit along with a 3 inch resinator, 3 inch in muffler and 3 inch flex pipe, a double 90 3 inch pipe to make my down pipe and a 5bolt to 3 inch adapter v band flange. Hoping to either get Megasquirt 3 or AEM EMS4. HKS BOV. And run as much boost as the actuator will allow. And then turn it up when they are drag meets. Hopefully get the head ported later on with other goodies.
 
Went to collect the V from the repair man last night.

Think I shall name her DEVIL V.

Got up this morning give her the first wipe off. Me and my cuz fixed the space found between the bumper and headlights had to remove the headlights and pry up whats left of the front bumper brace then refit and it was jiggy.

Was advised never to let the due settle on the car and drive it in the sun. So going and get a new chamois today. NEED RIMS PEOPLE DONATE SOME NUH

Going to sort out some issues first before installation. Gotta change my wheel bearing and flange possibly. Then from there hopefully installation. Then the wait for some management.

i am a fan of the gt28r ball bearing, with your engine where do you start to spool??
about the greddy, it is the t517z or t518 ? can you compare them ?

Lots going on there, and I couldnt even see all of the pics!

Welcome along, I like the red Vs, we dont see to many of them here.
 
I had a 28r on my 1300 with a slightly ported head boost came on about 2700 rpm by 4000 had to be on at least 10 to 12 psi. and 14 shortly after all the way to redline. Turbos are very early spooling but I never got to turn it on to feel it flowing more air upstairs. My friend has a 28rs on his fully forged 1300cc felt his car on 6psi and upstairs it FELT GREAT just on that little psi level. Turbo comes on early. I would not advise anyone who wants to drag to get a garrett so small I'd go at least 2871. Turbos arent that available down here in good condition unless purchased new. Had a 3076r for sale if i had the money i'd purchase that instead of what i have no which is a t517z. But i'd instlal that wid more mods such as ported and polished head and cams etc.
