As above moving into new home and wanting Sky sports HD.

Such a joke as you have to have all these extra packages just to get the sport HD.

Cost will be £60 a month.

Wandered if there is any way of getting it cheaper e.g. calling and asking.

Or if anyone works for sky on here etc?

Good times to call? someone said about callling on a target deadline day?

Not a fan of Sky tbh, think their assholes. Maybe have a look at that new BT sport thing?

getting that aswell, however really want sky sports.. as much as i dislike how they own the market.
Virgin is just pants from what I have heard and seen in comparison.

I went from Sky to Virgin and never had any problems, customer service is much better and even after a year I phoned up and managed to get my package cheaper and upgraded to Tivo.
Virgin takes a bit of getting used to as I always had Sky before.

Suppose you always hear good and bad stories though.

my mate had a good deal with sky they reduced it a bit i think but that was because hes got sky with the movie channels, sports, HD, the lot really. plus hes got the fibre broadband aswell. so hes a very valued customer lol.

never had any trouble with them and customer service is very good too. ive got sky broadband aswell, in my opinion theres a very good reason why they lead the market.

dreambox or blade7000 + an internet guide = sky for about £8/month

And before anyone says anything, they broadcast their scrambled signal to the entirety of planet earth. Decripting something someone puts in your living room isn't illegal.

Fresh Recruit
Entertainment pack (basic channels, plus recording function) £26
Entertainment Extra (all standard channels) £5
Entertainment Extra+ (HD for the above) £5Sky Sports 1&2 - £21
HD for Sports £5.25

If you can live without HD the cheapest option is EE with sports, no HD £47/month.
It's worth calling new customer sales if there's no offers showing online, others are sometimes available.

Sacdetoro - Not quite unfortunately, that's technically theft. Using that logic we shouldn't have to pay for water rates or BBC licence fees...

£60 for the stock Sky deal and sports HD?

I've got the Sky HD pack, with Sky Sports F1 HD but none of the other channels. Costs me £35 a month. To add the sports pack onto the deal I have it would cost £22 a month so £57 quid all in all.

I'm not bothered any other than the F1 so don't see the point of having the Sports pack.

Sky is by far the best provider out of them all, customer service is far better than the Virgin ones for sure. Baring in mind a good amount of Virgin is rented from Sky but at a higher rate... why pay more and receive less?

Have you moved yet and had it installed?

Have you ever used a dictionary?

With a dreambox you still have to pay a subscription, you are just paying it to a different provider from a different country for a lot less. Sky have tried to restrict this but thanks to EU competition laws they aren't allowed to.

Not yet, hoping to get a friends and family code to get 50% off bills.
Should hopefully have one but trying to cover myself if that falls through.
