oil filter trouble

wel went to change oil and filter on my gt today and the oil filter is blocked in by power steering pump are they allways like this? gona hav to remove belt and move the pump out of the way i think

There's no need to remove anything just get some grips on there and spin it off

have an oil filter wrench and i can loosen a bit but then its pressing against the pump and gets very hard to loosen so i stopped

a chain is far easyer just use a long ext on the ratchet and it will pop off easyer and the chain does not take as much room

chain and the strap arent worth a fuck its to tight in there ur best bet is going with that cup wrench, screwdriver works but its messy.

The oem filter relocator fouls against the power steering and to remove that you need to remove the p/s but the filter doesnt foul tho!

hmm well mine seems to i can loosen the filter then the filter hits the pump and wont come out hopefully be able to put it on a ramp tomorrow

You need to try getting it from underneth as its alot easier from there.Get urself an adjustable channel lock pliers and that should work.I personally get feed up of this oil filter shit so i got me a relocator and now my oil filter is right there by my right front shock:rockon:
