@ Blak_Mamber can i ask why I didnt fit?? What was in the way of it going on?

There was no room to fit the sandwich plate cus i think the power steering thing was in the way. I got it fitted at a garage and they jus told me there was absolutly no room to play with. He took some photos so ill post them up when i get them. :)

most of the adapters are around the same size, its just the place where you gotta fit it is very very small lol

The geezer emailed me back saying i need a TOPOT ADAPTOR aswell. He says this allows instant connection of both senders via the current oil switch point. Sounds good. Gonna order it up and see what happens. Will post up progress... :D

i still have this problem myself.Never seen that braided line before.Just a quick question. Is the oil pressure sender unit always going to be the same size? What i mean is my sender unit is kinda big so would all the different makes come with the same size unit?

I thnk alot of width on those units are like a universal size, if not, i think that they can be customised to different sizes. Read below which is a bit of info from the ebay page:

INSTALLATION FEATURES

CAR SPECIFIC SIZED MALE THREAD CONNECTION GOES INTO YOUR CURRENT OIL SWITCH POINT. AT THE MALE CONECTION POINT IS AN OIL TEMP SENDER RECEIVER PORT THIS IS THEN CONNECTED TO A LENGTH OF BRAIDED STEEL OIL LINE AT THE END OF WHICH IS A BRASS BLOCK WITH 2 PORTS - ONE FOR RECONNECTION OF THE ORIGINAL OIL SWITCH AND THE OTHER FOR THE OIL PRESSURE SENDER..COMES WITH A P CLIP TO MOUNT AND EARTH YOUR OIL PRESSURE SENDER.

EACH TOPOT CAN BE CUSTOM MADE TO ENABLE INSTALLATION OF ALL SIZES OF GAUGE SENDER ETC

Hope this helps. Ive ordered one up and getting it fitted next week.

Fitted both of these sensors to mine for about £7

Get an adaptor to connect into the block where the stock oil pressure switch is and tee the pressure guage sender in there. About £6

At the belt end of the standard oil filter housing there is a plug that can be removed, and replaced with a M16 x 1.5mm bolt that has a hole drilled in it and threaded the same size as the temp sender. Drill a small hole in the pas bracket for the wires to pass through and you have it done. Use a crush washer on the bolt to seal it to the housing.

okay just for the people out there using the braided remote oil gauge adapter, be carefull with the end that screws into the block, they are made out of very soft alluminium and breaks off easily so DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

You really dont wanna be in the position im in!

No other way to connect it without an oil filter relocation kit with adapters or buy an adapter like a Greddy which fits like I did say to buy in the first place.

The Fram oil filters are the smallest I have come accross and give slightly more room.

Dave

the fram filters are the same size as the blueprint ones.

and the greddy plate will fit,

lewis have you removed the air con mate?

if you havnt then i dont think the gauges will still fit.

only way to fit the sandwhich plate you bought is to grind down the wall of the plate, and grind down the ps bracket as small as you can.

i already tried and decided not to bother, and have decided to wait til i buy a relocation kit

Cheers for the info mate. Im using a blanking plug for one of the holes as one hole is not needed, so i presume i should do the same for that.. no overtightening :D

Finally got the 2 gauges fitted. The pressure gauge works fine but for some reason the temp gauge is not working. I got this fitted by a garage so not sure what could be the reason for it not to work.
Pic below

The temp sensor is the bit that looks slightly frayed on the end with two wires coming out.

Anyone got any idea why the temp gauge wouldnt work? It seems to be fitted correctly. Would it be anything to do with the length of the braided line? :S

does the temp gauge not work at all?

prob just the sensor playing up mate. new sensors can be bought easily, there the same as a water sensor
