oil pressure

hi, new to the forum - i am in the process of buying a glanza and am just wondering, if the oil pressure gets too low will the car cut out or keep running. thanks

The car will keep running but if it happens for a prolonged period or a lot of times it could cause damage to the engine

my mate has an a3 1.8t, he split open the sump and lost all of his oil, as soon as the oil light came on the engine cut it self out insted of seizing. does the starlet do this as well. thanks

really?? strange.im afraid a 4e engine will suffer some nasty damage at the least..

thats probably a safety feature Audi built into their engines. I doubt the starlet will do that.
