Jon has asked me to come on here and fill you in about the orange starlet,
here is a basic run down of the mods
4efte still 1300cc
CP forged pistons
Argo rods
o ring head and block
8.2:1 compresson
custom intake manafold
65mm ford throttle body
extensive head work
280 deg cams
full balance
4x 330cc injectors
4x 440cc injectors
Custom Microtech LT8s ecu with X4 ign booster and advanced data logging.
bascially there is nothing left in the engine that is stock.
the turbo is a GT28rs 440hp .70 comp cover and .64 exhaust housing,
the car does make the power shown on the dyno sheet very eaisly, there are lot of factors that go towards making this sort of power, it is not boost that makes power it is air flow, everything in this engine is optimised to make power from 4500-9500rpm, below 4500 there is not much power at all and it feels like driving a NA starlet, at 20psi that turbo is flowing close to its maxium flow, we did a few runs on 23psi but the HP didnt increase at all, the next step is a larger compressor wheel in the turbo, as i have said on the starlet forums the turbo is out of flow and that is the max power we can get with out gas or a larger turbo.
also injector duty tells me that it is making 400hp, 770cc worth of injectors per cylinder at 70% duty cycle caculates to over 400hp on those injector caculators (which i dont trust much at all)
