Is it safe to run plug and play ecus on Tdo4 Turbo with stock internals? (fuel/timing/boost/knock) no risk? is it giving more bhps same as ct9 for tdo4? any experiences

A TDo4 is pulling a lot more air into the engine, so long as the fuel is there to support the extra air you will make more power.

The risk is always there unfortunately. There are plenty of variables at work.

When installing a P&P ECU take all the necessary precautions. Monitor boost levels, air/fuel ratios, apply some sort of knock detection, start at a low boost level and work up, etc etc.

In my experience 9/10 times it will be fine, but there is always that one time when it isn't!

thanks a lot bro, is there any good ecu for reasonable price except emanage blue?

When you take the mapping into account even the eManage Blue can work out dear, your best bet is to talk to whoever is tuning the car.

This will let you discuss what options you have and work out a budget. For example, theres no point suggesting Fcon if no one near you can set it up.

Hope that makes sense.

You can pick the e-manage up for a few hundred pounds bud but as Jay said just check in with your tuner first :)
I was quoted around 1000-1200 £ for a Link ECU fitted and mapped, and 350£ to map if I supplied the ECU
Where abouts are you maybe someone could recommend someone

If your ballin on a budget, check out the ecu master det3. Affordable and capable unit if you can find someone to map it for you.

You are going about this "ASS Backwards??" The limitations of the ECU determine Fuel and timing not the turbo??? Standalone;s let you control fuel and timing ... they don't care about what turbo your running?? You would need a ECU that has "auto tune capability" and you would need to have a Wide Band O2 sensor in order to do that.

And yep an ECU with Knock monitoring is also a nice a plus! Lot's of them can do that but it sounds like there was basics mistake made in the short block setup but I don't know??
