Power steering pump knocking

As above my power steering pump is knocking, has anyone had this issue before?

really old fluid OR dead pump. i hope it ain't the second one :/

As said change the oil and go from there

It's at the top of the pump i can feel it knocking

Could be the pump itself. If you loosen the belt off and try spinning the pulley in case there's any play/resistance present.
