Price rises

Hi Everyone

I've been out of the modding scene for 3.5 years due to my work.
Owned a BMW for motorway cruising in that time.

I'm back on the scene again now.
Currently driving an Impreza which I've owned for around 8 months.
Its not a daily, just a weekend ripper and im gonna tinker with it a little. 300bhp would be nice.

I've been looking around Starlet forums a bit more as many engine parts like turbos, injectors, fuel pumps etc are interchangeable and noticed that the price of these items seem much more expensive than I remember.

I seen a set of rear spats for EP82 for sale for £50
Lots of Glanzas for sale at the £6 - 7k mark (this was a rarity previously with only the highest quality cars commanding that price)
Walbro pumps for £100 (im sure I bought my 255 pump for £60 brand new)
Stock Grey Starlet mats £50 (not even the optional fluffy ones)

Have I been out of the scene for too long or have prices gone up for some reason?

Yep, I'd agree.

There seems to be a sc£n£ tax applied to almost everything compared to the golden years. The high prices of standard(ish) EP's seems to have pushed up the price of moderately/heavily modded ones.

I'd imagine it would be quite scary to anyone coming back into the starlet market!

Gts more than glanzadude are mad price now 3k Woukd get you a stock one

Everything has pretty much gone full circle. When I got my first GT £3000 for a clean stock car was the going rate. That's what I paid for mine with just lowering springs and an exhaust.
Then they got really cheap, I picked up my other mk1 for £1500, admittedly it needed a little work.

I think all jap cars have risen in price recently anyway

Yeah back in 2000 I paid £3300 for my (stockish) Mk1.

Could be worse I suppose, in the hey day folks in Ireland were dishing out 10k + for fresh stockish glanzas!
