Nice build thread Jay!

I'm impressed with the speed of the conversion also. Nanglebadgers car has always looked fantastic so the added power will complement it greatly.

Is it a standard spec engine or is he planning any extra tunning?

P.S. whens the next garage party? Really regreting not coming up to the last one!

Planning on stock(ish) for the first while just to let him enjoy boost then we'll move onto bigger things once he's happy to do so.

Exhaust, FMIC, decat and some extra boost will keep him smiling for stage 1. :)

Got waylaid with logistics today, had the 5E to shift out and my other mk1 to recover from storage before we could work at el Badgersport. Serious thanks for the help today Phil, I haven't stopped smiling since this little lady landed back home:

Shifted the 5E out of the way, it's the first time these ladies have met:

And that allowed us to crack on with work at the blurple beastie, Phil is stealing the FMIC from my grey GT which will make him a very happy man indeed :

Managed to get the engine mounted properly on it's mounts, connect the PAS back up, get the gearbox hooked up, replace the clutch cable with a fancy little red version (from Tuning Developments) and as a bonus we renewed the grotty looking swamp water Phil had as clutch fluid.

There's a few things to finish off before I start work on the FMIC but most of the hard graft is behind us. Hope to have it boosting asap.

thanks for the positive comments folks!

@G5EGM - yes thats a UR floor bar.

@dac69er - its a TTE front splitter, i'm afraid u wont find any for sale. there are only 2 of them on UKSC, mine and Tony's (levin black top conversion), and in 4 years iv only seen two other cars for sale that have them fitted, they cannot be found.

seriously excited now, engine mounted, FMIC retrieved, its all so close i can taste it!!

A heavenly sight for you all :

If we were sticking with a top mount we'd be elected Phil but I have to install some Wicked EP goodness to get this baby rolling. Tonight saw a few odds and ends fitted in to make the bay look a bit more complete:

One thing that had been bothering me was the NA powersteering pump. To anyone who had a Glanza the routing of the return pipe looked odd. I had almost got over this niggle until Ted mentioned it and that sort of made me need to change it to the 4EFTE version.

For anyone wondering, the capacity of the PAS system would appear to be at least 15 gallons... At least that's what I ended up mopping off the floor!

More like it :

Next up is the FMIC and the associated cursing required to fit it. :D
