yes you can run more boost plus alot more reliable when setup properly and just put on a td05 and a remap for more power down the line for example! if i had the cash id be forged
Forging doesnt make it invincible but does give you goo piece of mind when going for more power in particular more boost, although if you spend the money on a foeged engine make sure you get a good mapper or it could waste your money that you paid for the engine im
Sure more experienced forged lads could share their tales : )
If you got spare cash or looking to build a monster then go forged. If you just plan on sticking with the td04, then don't bother. Chris @CCM has mapped a GT to 260bhp at 1 bar on a td04.
Td04 at 1 bar is nice and safe, especially for extended periods of WOT action.
The stock engine would be safer running 1 bar td04 rather than the hot ct9 at 1 bar, so what i would say is stick the td04 on the stock engine run it 1-1.1 bar, plenty of power there to show up to a lot of other cars if u want more power after that u may forge,
Best one liner, if a jobs worth doing its worth doing right, IMO parts to make a car go faster are just catalysts for engine destruction if the engine isnt up to the job
If your considering a forged build drop Tim@TB Developments a pm. His prices are fantastic and done me some amazing deals on my package. His work is second to none as well
Tim at TB Developments - the best man for the job, also he doesn't charge a lot. He is one of the best pro I personally had business with. He will be able to point you in the right direction regarding the mapping as well. He is the only mechanic who works on my car and I had about 20 in the past!
