it started a couple ah weeks ago.. while driving the car would just jerk. i was thinking i was driving to low rmp in gear. but it started to get really bad.. i cant go over 2500rpm no matter what gear i am in. i would try pull out in 1st gear and wen it gets close to 2500rmp it would just jerk violently. and RPM would just drop down.. as long as i stay under 2500rpm i could drive normally no problems shifting from first to 5th gear.

i would like some advice please in resolving this issue..

cause wen the car is out of gear it would Rev up to Redline.. no problems. its just while in gear and driving that the problem.

and input would be greatly appreciated thanks.

oh its a stock 1998 spec Glanza V with 4efte engine. i recently change the engine in February so its a new used engine...lol
i am currently running a aftermarket manifold with external wastegate.. an ah 63mm T3T4 turbo.. with free flow 2.5inch from downpipe to muffler with and EVO3 center barrel.

need help please thanks..

this is even before boost comes in..cause the turbo is kinda large so it starts boosting like a around 3500-4000rpm..because i parked on a hill and could not move out.. but i turned around and reversed up the hill..

its happens no matter wat gear i am in. i removed the gearbox yesterday and i saw some fine cracks in the flywheel. so i was thinking off changing the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel.

cause i dont know what the problem is.... i am lost

cause it would just jerk violently wen it reaches 2500rmp and just loose power,, like its not gripping..

what management are you using? you will still get boost even with a largish turbo. if you feather the throttle while driving will it go past that rpm ok?

No its not going past that...would only rev pass wen its in neutral...I am running stock ecu..have being for two years now. And I am not getting any engine check light or anything...well the bov is blowing off even wen I shift before 2500rpm so its spooling...guess I would change out clutch and pressure plate, with flywheel then troubleshoot from there if that's not the problem.

I already took out the gear box...lol...cause I changed de engine in february this year..and put on a new clutch then..guess I would just put it back together and check complete wire harness then..trouble shoot the ignition system

if your spooling it at below that rpm then its probably just a spark issue under boost. ignition problem I would imagine.

for the millionth time, if you feather the throttle past the problem rpm area while driving that will prove it once and for all. if you keep trying to boost up then it will be an issue.

plugs, plug gap, leads, distributor cap or rotor arm are the main culprits.

are you just on the standard ecu with no fuelling mods or anything?

Yes I am using the standard ecu..and fuel system.. for example if I am in high gear and down shift it would go past 4000rpm but noutin would..happen. its just in acceleration.. I am getting dat problem. I tried wat u said before..going slow and pressing the throttle to see wat happens..but it would just jerk..and die down.. even in 2, 3,4gear

try 1st gear, down a slight hill or on a straight and don't floor it, just build the revs up slowly to see if they pass the point it normally jerks. if it is ok, then its most likely ignition related, but could be a map sensor problem or an issue with the fuel pump failing maybe.

do you get any engine lights flash or anything? have you done an ecu fault code check?

if your using the standard ecu and fuel system your lucky you havnt done any damage to the engine running that setup!!!

i was running 15psi before no problem.. but i am only running 6psi with the new engine.. i would try change out the fuel filter and spark plugs . and ignition wire.. first
then check the rotor in the distributor.. and work my way from there...

i think i would put back the gearbox on the car..change out the fuel filter spark plugs.. and plug leads. then check the harness for broken wire.. then work from there...
