Question on Heatsoak

Is it bad for the engine or it just affects its performance? Contemplating on installing a hoodscoop and keep the stock tmic rather than having a fmic installed but I'm worried that heatsoak may be bad for the engine in the long run since weather in our country is hot and traffic is unavoidable. Thanks!

if keeping the stock tmic, i'd strongly suggest getting the stock ep82/91 hood with the oem scoop in place...it will help keep your engine cooler, more reliable, less knock, etc
at some point you can even upgrade the tmic to rx7, arc, etc.

I've run a few different set ups and would recommend the front mounted intercooler as a safer alternative over the top mounted units. Sitting in slow traffic you aren't really going to notice anything but you will definitely appreciate the increased midrange performance on the move.
