This will not cos any harm as far as i can see but make them wild noisy at the top end . I think alot of guys that are carrying out the work have no idea there even tensioned any ways hears how to do it rite.

As u can see in the pix there is a hole in the inlet cam for a service bolt if you look close at a inlet cam gear u will see its spit in to 2 parts one side of this is sprung so it keeps the cams tight when the engine is running. Before you remove the cam shaft caps fit the service bolt in to the inlet cam if u remove the cams with out puting a bolt in the service bolt hole you will need to turn one side of the cam gear (inlet cam) untill the holes line up so the bolt can be fitted in in place , once the cams are fitted back in place and caps fitted you remove the service bolt thats all there is to it.
