Rear Beam Polybush

Its been while since i posted here, i figured why not start again to keep the forum alive.
Who has polybushed the rear and felt a major difference?

I am curious to know the changes these bring to the behaviour of the rear at the limit of grip. As we all know that the rear end tends to snap if pushed really hard.

I am looking to poly bush the beam bushings and the panhard ones too.

Thanks.

My Glanza rep was fully poly bushed front to back and the rear end grip was great, my current GT is all standard bushes bar one engine mount, on the GT I added a c-pillar brace and rear strut brace and the difference I thought was night and day in rear end grip, tyres are always a factor too :)

Thanks for the reply.

Since you have both then you are best candidate to fire questions at. LOL!

How did the C pillar brace help in terms of rear end grip?

I already have the rear strut brace and rear ARB [ which i removed as i was oversteering ,you read that right :)] in the sharp bends. I tried all the settings on the whiteline rear ARB but still the rear end had no grip on the Hankook tyres [ T51 compound]. I have moved to a softer compound [T71] since then and its better now. ARB is waiting in some corner in the garage for another trial.

In the front i am poly bushed everywhere and its better. The Ultra racing four point front lower brace helps a lot.

no worries bud, when i added the rear brace it helped a great deal round the B roads i use a lot, could push harder into the bends and it just sticks, Then when i added the C-Pillar brace i could push harder still :) it strengthens up the top of the rear end i found.
tyres on the Rep where Kuhmo elsta SPT wet grip A and it was scary just how hard you could push in the pish lol
GT had Kuhmo elsta HS1 C rated wet grip and you could feel the difference, had the SPT ordered but tyre centre had HS1 in stock so tried them out.
both tyres had epic levels of dry grip too :)

My glanza has rear beam polybushed, also have adjustable panhard rod, whiteline rear arb, c pillar bar and 3 point strut brace. I don't really find rear end grip a problem at all, do get lift of oversteer but it's predictable and can be used to your advantage

I am going to get a rear C pillar brace made and will be poly bushed soon.
Lets see what happens. Depends also what tires your are running.
