removing gear box

how hard is it to do this an replace the clutch, ive done it on other cars like corsa's but how hard are they to do on a gt ep82, any info would be great thanks

ive took the box off a few times, i can do it in about 30mins now lol.

basically:

empty the oil

loosen up the lover ball joins from the lower arm.

pop the driveshafts out ( can be tricky i use a crowbar to lever them out with a few thrusts)

Take off gear selector cables and speedo cable
take of slave cylnder (2 12mm nuts, this way you dont have to beeld clutch lol)
then remove the 5 gearbox bolts and the few smaller ones underneath
then the 2 gearbox mounts

its ALOT harder to get it back on, everytime i do it i struggle witht he rear mount bolt!

cheers mate, i gotta do clutch the release bearing is making some right noise an its done 108,000 miles now so wanna get it done before i drive to ireland. looks like a job for the weekend, what clutch should i get, im not runnin any fancy setup just the basics not far from standard really

Go for one of speedvisions mate, then you dont have to worry if you decided to go for some more power along the lines. depends how much you want to pay really.
